Our Partners

Who is partnering with Let’s Go Paddling?

Lets Go Paddling has a growing number of active partners all sharing in our goal of bring everyone to our waterways and into our paddle craft! These partners are set to work with all regions and our Welcome Centers to make passage into our sports that much easier.

  • President’s Challenge: The fitness benefits of paddling are one of the key message points of the Let’s Go Paddling public relations campaign. We are encouraging Welcome Centers to reinforce this message by encouraging participation in the President’s Challenge. With roots dating back to the Eisenhower administration, many Americans are familiar with the President’s Challenge from elementary school. What began as a national youth fitness test has grown up. The President’s Challenge takes staying active beyond the school gym, and into everyday life.
  • National Park Service: The NPS provides paddling opportunities in many parks throughout the country. Through its Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance program, NPS also helps communities develop new local paddling opportunities.
  • National Wildlife Refuge System: The US Fish and Wildlife Service administers the National Wildlife Refuge System. FWS is interested in expanding wildlife observation opportunities from the water.
  • America’s State Parks: At its March meeting, the National Association of State Parks Directors (NASPD) voted to approve supporting the Let’s Go Paddling initiative
  • USA Canoe and Kayak (USACK): USA Canoe/Kayak is a non-profit membership organization based in Charlotte, N.C., promoting canoe and kayak racing in the United States. A member of the United States Olympic Committee, USACK is the national governing body for the Olympic sports of Flatwater Sprint and Whitewater Slalom and an official U.S. federation of the International Canoe Federation.
  • American Canoe Association (ACA): Founded in 1880, The American Canoe Association (ACA) is a national nonprofit organization serving the broader paddling public by providing education related to all aspects of paddling; stewardship support to help protect paddling environments; and sanctioning of programs and events to promote paddlesport recreation.
