ACA Joins Forces with LGP
The American Canoe Association and World Kayak have joined forces to bring our educational development to a new level, via the web. We are opening up a full social network platform for educators across the US and the world to converse and share on all aspects of whitewater instruction. The goal is to ensure that everyone has access to the latest in teaching technique, marketing tricks and business savvy. This portal will outline the entire natural progression of the whitewater paddler and educators will be invited to comment, add tips, photos, and video to each step in the progression. Contributions will include aid for your instruction on river, but also marketing, administration and business best practice aimed at improving the health of our sport and our educational ranks. But most importantly, it is built by educators, for educators!
The tool will also allow you to post up your profile, upcoming classes and much more. Your general information and class schedules can be shared at all the World Kayak regional based web portals… receiving 120,000 unique visitors per month.
To get the global conversations started, World Kayak has built a ‘best practice’ summary of the paddler progression. (Can I see this so maybe we can provide a united front? And what level paddler are you referencing) What we are looking for is a first line of comments, conversations and educator interaction within that progression. The ACA has been invited to bring the first line of instructors and schools in to help start the activity and conversations in this new social network tool. Registration is typically $35 per year in support of the portal costs but this year World Kayak sponsors are helping out so adminssion is sponsored! We encourage all of you to register and begin the community wide conversations!
